VICTORY: How To!
How can I have victory over death?
VICTORY, Our Need:
“Therefore, just as sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin, in this way death spread to all people, because all sinned.” (Romans 5:12)
“For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Romans 6:23)
VICTORY, Our Savior:
“For I passed on to you as most important what I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures,” (1 Corinthians 15:3–4)
“But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ!” (1 Corinthians 15:57)
“But God proves his own love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” (Romans 5:8)
“For God loved the world in this way: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.” (John 3:16)
VICTORY, His Accomplishment:
“He has saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given to us in Christ Jesus before time began. This has now been made evident through the appearing of our Savior Christ Jesus, who has abolished death and has brought life and immortality to light through the gospel.” (2 Timothy 1:9–10)
VICTORY, Our Response:
“The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God has come near. Repent and believe the good news!”(Mark 1:15)
“I testified to both Jews and Greeks about repentance toward God and faith in our Lord Jesus.” (Acts 20:21)
“If you confess with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. One believes with the heart, resulting in righteousness, and one confesses with the mouth, resulting in salvation.” (Romans 10:9–10)
“For everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” (Romans 10:13)
